Get Up Close with Animals at DA Little Farm at Johor Bahru Malaysia

If you're an Animal lover who enjoys visiting Johor Bahru, don't miss out on going on an Adventure at DA Little Farm. Located in a shophouse at Mount Austin, the second level houses a Shiba Cafe, while the third level is home to DA Little Farm, both under the same owner.

You can enjoy cuddling the animals and the Shiba Inu dogs one after another. Each experience is scheduled in different sessions, so it's advisable to book an appointment to avoid waiting. However, even without an appointment, the wait is not long. I didn't book in advance and only had to wait 45 minutes for my turn.

At DA Little Farm, the session begins by allowing a group of people to interact with freely roaming pets such as Meerkats, Parrots, Alpacas, and Tortoises.

Additionally, Hedgehogs, Ducks, and Skunks are available for a shorter period for photo and video opportunities, and even a bit of cuddling.

However, the foxes are not free-roaming and can only be viewed from outside through a glass panel. I asked about this and was told that foxes might bite, hence the restriction. Although they're incredibly cute and tempting to touch, it's better to be safe than sorry.

I asked ChatGPT, and it says: Foxes are typically not considered dangerous to humans, as they are usually shy and avoid interactions. However, like any wild animal, they can become aggressive if they feel threatened or cornered. It's best to admire them from a distance in their natural habitat.

When I visit, my main interest was the Alpaca, but I was pleasantly surprised to find so many other animals that captured my heart here.

Among them, the sun conure birds really stood out. Their playful nature and friendly demeanor towards humans made interacting with them a unique and delightful experience. Watching them fly from person to person, and sometimes stay perched for long moments, was truly special, even if their motives might have been more about food or curiosity than companionship!

Of course, getting to hug and be near the Alpaca was a highlight. Their fluffy coats and gentle presence made for some fantastic photo opportunities. However, the experience I really love came from the Meerkats. While I didn't get to touch them due to their incredible speed, watching them zip around the space was exciting for me. Their agility and curiosity were captivating, and being in their presence was a joy in itself.

It's moments like these that remind me of the beauty of nature and the joy animals can bring. Each interaction, whether with the playful birds, the calm alpaca, or the speedy meerkats, left a lasting impression. Despite the initial draw of one particular animal, Alpaca, I left with a heart full of love for them all. It's a testament to the magic of places like DA Little Farm, where every creature has a story to tell and a special place in our hearts.

You have the option to purchase food to feed the animals, although it's not optional. For the Meerkats, live worms are in the feeding package.
