Hotel Review: Scapes Hotel Genting Highlands Malaysia

If you're planning a trip to Genting and want to avoid the hassle of parking or staying in overcrowded areas, consider staying somewhere around the mid-hill area.

My friend and I recently stayed at Scapes Hotel, which is located mid-hill, and it was a great alternative.

Another advantage of staying at the mid-hill area is that the temperature is more moderate compared to the hilltop. This is especially ideal for people who can’t tolerate the colder temperatures at the hilltop.

The midhill area offers a much more comfortable environment, where it's cool but not freezing. You can still enjoy the mountain atmosphere without the biting cold, making it a perfect option for those who prefer a milder climate while avoiding the extremes. It’s a great balance between the fresh air of the highlands and a temperature that’s easier to manage.

The location offers a peaceful atmosphere away from the busy main attractions, while still being close enough to enjoy everything Genting has to offer.

What I particularly loved about the room was its modern industrial design, which added a unique touch and a refreshing contrast to the typical hotel rooms we usually book. The sleek décor, with its raw, contemporary vibe, made the stay feel different and more memorable compared to the more traditional styles we’re accustomed to.

However, there was one significant downside—the room wasn’t soundproof at all. Between the rooms, there’s a connecting door, and unfortunately, that meant we could hear just about everything from next door. The shouting and loud conversations were very noticeable, which made it a bit hard to relax. It’s definitely something to re-consider if you're looking for a quiet and peaceful stay.

I also absolutely loved the bathroom with its simple yet modern luxurious design. It had a clean, minimalist feel while still offering a touch of elegance, making it a perfect blend of style and comfort. The design really elevated the overall experience of the room.

We didn’t have the chance to try any meals at the hotel, but the restaurant looked inviting and seemed like a great spot worth trying. The atmosphere had a nice appeal, and it seemed like it would be a good dining experience.
