Today's Craft Recipe:
Homemade Crystals
What to prepare?
1. 5 flat Tbsp Borax powder for every 120g of water
2. Recycled Glass Jar
3. 1x Table Spoon

4. Boiling water (100 degrees & above)
5. Icecream stick
6. Clear tape
7. String
8. Pipe Cleaner
9. Kitchen Towel
10. Rubberband
11. Permanent Gold Marker (Optional)
Directions 1 - the Hanging Pipe Cleaner:
1. Fold the Pipe Cleaner into a circular shape with a few cross-over lines randomly diagonally.

2. Tie the Pipe Cleaner with a string that connects to the Icecream stick, make sure when you hang the Pipe Cleaner in the water it is covered in water.
Directions 2 - Blending the Solutions:
1. Add Boiling water into the Glass Jar (Fill 3/4 of the Jar)
2. Slowly Add each Tbsp of Borax powder into Glass Jar and Stir-well.
4. After added all the 5 Tbsp of Borax powder and Stir-well, you may add the hanging Pipe Cleaner into the water (make sure it does not touch anything except for the water).
Directions 3 - Waiting for the result:
1. Fold the Kitchen Towel to the size of the Lid of the Jar, and cover the Lid with a rubber band to secure the Kitchen Towel.
2. Wait for 24-48hours.
Tips:
-If you want smaller crystal bits on the surface, 24 hours wait is good enough. If you want slightly bigger crystal bits on the surface, you can wait from 48-72 hours for them to form.

-For a thicker Crystal piece, you may repeat the above steps twice.
Directions 4 - Waiting for the result:
1. Open the Kitchen Towel and remove the hanging Piper Cleaner from the solutions. (Do not wash it) Let it dry for at least 12 hours.
2. Scrap the remaining Crystals that had grew on the base of the Glass Jar and dry them together with the Pipe Cleaner piece.

Optional Directions - Adding Gold Edge to thin Crystals:
1. Use a Permanent Gold Marker to paint at the Edge of the Crystals for an extra glamourous effect.
