Witness the unfolding scenery as you ascend from the 35th floor, feeling your heart flutter with anticipation at the Kuchu Teien Observatory.
Discover Osaka's Umeda Sky Building - an awe-inspiring sight. Just by going up and down the escalator tunnel countless times, capturing that perfect "travel shot". All this excitement came, even before I purchased a ticket to the Skyroof aka the Observation Deck.
Of course, since I'm here, I absolutely want to visit the Observation Deck as well. It's not just about getting amazing pictures, but also about experiencing a breathtaking view that I don't get to see at ground level in Osaka. It's truly spectacular. While I didn't manage to capture the perfect shots, the overall experience was mesmerizing and more than satisfying.
Upon reaching the 39th floor, procure a ticket at the counter and make your way to the captivating Kuchu Teien.
Before reaching the Roof Observation Deck, there's an Indoor Observation area on the 40th floor (approximately 170m above the ground) awaits with windows in squares. Marvel at the view from the comfort of air-conditioning, capturing composition shots, before going up to the windy heights that might tussle your hair.
The Sky Walk Observation Deck sits 173 meters above ground and I climb one more floor after viewing the view from the 40th-floor observation deck.
The Sky Walk encircles the central opening of the air garden, serving as Osaka's highest outdoor observation deck. Rarely does one experience a 360-degree aerial view at a remarkable 173m above ground. Even those who struggle with heights can find comfort here, as the aerial escalator removes the sight of the ground when looking downward, ensuring a more relaxed experience.
While visiting, ensure to explore the Lumi Deck for couples or those with hearts brimming with love. After purchasing a padlock on the 39th floor, you can walk down the stairs on the west side of Lumi Sky Walk to find the Lumi Deck. There, you can engrave your name and the date on a heart-shaped lock, then affix it to the "Fence of Vows" surrounding the deck, sealing your pledge of love.
I didn't notice but I heard Osaka Castle illuminates the night, enveloping it in a distinct ambiance distinct from the daytime. Don't miss the opportunity to witness the captivating transformation of Osaka Castle when you visit.
With 40 above-ground floors and 2 below-ground, it connects the East and West Buildings, offering diverse entertainment elements like offices, showrooms, event halls, observation decks, restaurants, cinemas, and shops. Located near Osaka and Umeda Stations, access to the Sky Building is through the west side of the Grand Front Osaka complex.
